It grows in these neat orderly lines and they groom it to stay at a certain height so it’s easy to pick. Apparently once it’s established it’s one of the easiest crops to maintain and harvest, meaning a relatively small number of older farmers can do the whole thing and it is worth more per hectare than rice.
