Interesting snippit of a 1970 interview in which legendary director Orson Welles relates an incident that happened in 1941 before the release of Citizen Kane in which certain Hollywood players tried to frame him as a pedophile by setting up a minor and photographer near his hotel suite.

Mind you this was told decades before such a tactic would be publicly infamized by the Stanley Kubrick film Eyes Wide Shut and later cemented as a real world political tactic by the Epstein scandal. How long has Hollywood, and more specifically those who run Hollywood, been employing such blackmail tactics against those who threaten their interests?

EDIT: I tried to attach a webm of the related Eyes Wide Shut scene that shows a ficticious example of this blackmail tactic but the webm is blocked by 4chan for some reason (?)
