I’m right wing but support euthanasia. Euthanasia to me is based it’s good for the person being euthanized and it’s good for society at large and good for the family it’s a win win win

I don't oppose euthanasia.

I’m young, high income, educated, able bodied, above average height, no criminal record.

I wouldn’t be euthanized under any euthanasia regime

Unless I volunteered for it which I don’t want to do at this moment

If I become a Quad or something I will

my bad, stick this one there in your mind instead

Idk how I could "actively" support it, but I certainly support it.

For example, my grandfather. When he was in his 70's, he said if he ever lost his mind, throw him off the dock and let him drown.

Unfortunately he died with dementia in the hospital at 89. The exact way he didn't want to die.

Why can we give our animals a humane death, but not us.

I'm probably whiter than you. Nearly a ginger.

Personally I think the right to self termination is the most fundamental of all rights, so I support it
Slightly related, I never understood why executions have trouble with finding the necessary drugs for humane, painless, lethal injection. I understand that corporations dont want to provide the drugs used for execution due to bad optics, but like... why not just buy regular anesthetics, put the person to sleep, and then guillotine them while they're asleep? It's fast, cheap, painless... what's the issue?

Another question is, why couldn't they just be given a huge dose of fentanyl?
>>
>>540382639
I see what you did there

>I never understood why executions have trouble with finding the necessary drugs for humane, painless, lethal injection.
they don't want to do something like this >>540382880 that makes more sense because of optics, doesn't want to do anything else making more sense like you said with the guillotine because optics, and really, dying as a process sucks and is never going to be "comfortable" and not painful at all without massive doses of some kind of euphoric drug to go along with it, or being very quick
especially since pain is the way your brain knows there's a problem, so of course dying would be ringing all the alarm bells possible as hard as possible
