In most cases but not all gaining izzat results in a loss of karma and vice versa. You can izzatmaxx but if you die you're coming back as a lower caste for your misdeeds. Likewise you can karmamaxx for Brahmin status but your low izzat blocks you from a certain content. A major goal is to max your izzat as a Brahmin, which is completely contradictory, and upon success you will just reincarnate as a dalit and have to start over. It's all revealed to be a completely pointless vicious cycle in the grand scheme of things.
