Goes for lunch, and everything else. And they make you feel like a criminal if you object at the store. When did the relationship between seller and customer become master and slave? We are CITIZENS not CONSUMERS

37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils,

38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood.

39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions.

Was at the train station today. Asked if there was a water fountain. Woman pointed to machine with a screen. "That's it." Went over, there's an elaborate on-screen menu and a credit card slot. You can add flavors, fizz, etc. Thankfully, if you just choose plain water (after some menu digging) it dispenses it for free.

But you can't just hold your bottle there and press a button long enough to fill it. You must choose one of three fill sizes, press confirm, press a button to skip the default wait time, and then it fills your bottle 5/8ths. Or overfills it. It was ridiculous and complicated and unnecessary. Also, it didn't catch the overfill properly so the whole machine was surrounded by wet floor signs.

Fucking silly.

>>540402890
They entrap you with marginal cost of action. Everything in society is downstream from promise of incentives/threat of violence.
There are too many adults today who think society must treat them like their parents did, while it is a barely functioning veil put onto the jungle.

If I was supreme leader I would ban apps.
I would make them illegal and im not joking.
Apps were the begining of the end for personal computing.
I'd also mandate all websites are viewable without making an account, none of this twitter shit like disabling sound and viewing comments unless you sign in.

>When did the relationship between seller and customer become master and slave? We are CITIZENS not CONSUMERS
Corporations, because of inflation, are getting increasingly desperate for ways to fleece you and take more out of you than they're willing to provide actual value for.
So they fee and fine you to death.

I think upselling is unethical too. The customer is there to get what they want, trying to talk them into even more and getting aggressive with it is a way to lose a customer. Restaurants are doing this now with all the extra bullshit like OP points out.

It's annoying, and they're starting to drag it out longer and longer. Next time I'll just demand they call the manager (who's not on site kek).

Fucking where? They barely ever even ask me about any of that shit, and when they do, they couldn't give less of a shit about it. I always just tell them no and we complete the transaction without either of us thinking about it.

Shilling for what, nigger? I'm serious, where is this supposed inconvenience and shaming happening? I won't shop there. But I've never had an experience that inconvenient or with the emotional manipulation you're describing in a store, a restaurant, pretty much anywhere that wanted my money. The wagies working the actual storefront never give a shit about corporate's programs, not really.

>Fucking silly.
Everything is fucking silly now.
I had a cheque to deposit yesterday, but all the banks near me have closed and it's mobile app only.
What would normally take a few seconds had me for a few hours of fucking around trying to get it to work, being forced to jump through hoops of several layers of dysfunction. "Take a better picture. The amount can't be zero."
After giving up I spent another hour trying to get through to a human on the phone, just to be presented by someone who could barely speak English and sounded like they were underwater.
Still not managed to deposit it.
>>
>>540405228
Okay, so it isn't. Like yeah online they have all the annoying upcharge shit, but you can just ignore it, and in person this shit never happens. Like it just doesn't. You can tell people in the shops, "no," and they don't give a shit. If you personally have an issue with this, "literally everywhere," then maybe you personally have crippling autism and/or social anxiety, in which case I'm sorry that happened to you, but you should know people don't actually give nearly as much of a shit about these things as you feel they do.

There you go, shilling again. Your sole purpose itt is to minimize, dismiss and deny whatever people bring up. It's the shill playbook after all.

1. Ignore
2. If you can't ignore, dismiss.
3. If you can't dismiss, minimize. (you are here)
4. If you can't minimize, deflect.

It's all so tiresome.

Every user hates MFA, yet every IT person will defend that bullshit to their dying breath. They're religious fanatics about it. That's why I enjoy seeing them replaced with AI and pajeets.

During covid I tried to buy some chicken from a nearby fast-food place, but they wanted my phone number. I said no, I just want to buy some fried chicken, here's the cash, now please give me the chicken. The blond faggot teenager behind the counter said he couldn't give me the food without first getting my phone number. I told him to fuck off, walked out, and never went to that place again. I think it went out of business a couple of years later.

Just cook lunch you zoomer faggots.

It takes 15 minutes and you don't feel sick afterwards.

I used to feel sorry for you guys until read how much door dash you do.

>>AI: is this a life threatening emergency?

They put all these barriers up to discourage you from calling. They want you to hang up. They don't want to pay staff to talk to you, not even a pajeet.

That, and some lawyer sued because some dumbass died of a heart attack while waiting on hold and they sued. Lawyers are a cancer on society.

If you're at home, sure. But if you're on the road, you either stop somewhere to eat or you go hungry. Are you a NEET?
>>
>>540406499
Oh, you're tired? Already? For being called out on your bullshit?

Good.

Anon, you're making a statement of fact: that retail and restaurant workers make people feel like criminals if they object at the store to their apps, creating accounts, etc, and that they do it literally everywhere you go, in literally every shop and restaurant.

I'm saying my lived experience directly contradicts your statement. If you're going to go around making statements of fact that run directly contrary to lived experience, you're either wrong, or you're being deceptive, and in both cases, you SHOULD be corrected or minimized.

I'm willing to accept that maybe you live in a shitty area, that maybe you yourself have a different lived experience, but that would just mean you're wrong about it being literally everywhere, and if you have so many problems with it, you should move.

Also shills usually only "ignore" on counterarguments to things they themselves posted that they can't easily address.

And OP sounds like a retard. This is going to become annoying as the fucking LLM's fill up the internet. None of us have easy ways to prove we're not a generative AI suite. Not even pictures of your hand and a timestamp are reliable anymore.

Setting that aside, am I wrong? Is it really that hard for you guys to say no to giving out your phone number or downloading some shitty app? Like yeah, places ask, but seriously, 99.99999999% of the people paid to ask you don't give a shit.
>>
>>540406191

Naive.

It's not about the ease or the option, it's the fact the option exists at all. This race to the bottom started with airlines and credit cards and their subsidized rewards to their most autistic consooomers.
Rat races should be illegal in polite society.

Hell, even China just outright crushes speculative garbage all the time, much to people's seethe.

the last 5 years have been absolutely godawful from missing out on crypto to the government stealing 5400 in unemployment bux from me to me being unable to find work due to the vaxx bullshit.
