There are hints that the Norse may have actually settled Greenland before the Inuits showed ip, and the book argues that the Inuits showed up specifically to trade with the Norse colonists, and that these colonists may have been traveling to Greenland going back to 800AD or earlier, and that various “Inuit” technology, was actually acquired from the Norse colonists, or maybe English or Welsh colonists, rather than the other way round. One of the conjectures towards the end of the book, is that “Greenland” was not dome marketing ploy, but was a misunderstanding of “Cron’s land” from “Cronus” who according to Plutarch was chained on an island, with coordinates given that are pretty accurate for Greenland or North America. Columbus also visited Iceland before his trip where he “discovered” North America, and he might have gotten insider information while in Iceland, since Iceland was the travel point to Greenland at the time. There is also a book. “ 1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus ”, that covers various proofs or theories about North America and South America before Columbus.
