>>540422892That's definitely part of it, but even before the inexcusable institution of slavery is a commensurate sin: restricting voting rights to the landed gentry. Even just this is a poison pill against what was, in retrospect, purely propaganda: the idea that all men are created equally. America started with a three-tier system: elites over workers over slaves. I'm convinced that what slavery didn't fuck up can be attributed to the two-tiered system which still today remains.
