My mom didnt know any better an got parent plus loans for my brother to get two bachelor's degrees then his masters. She started out with 100k and now owes over 270k because the lenders keep giving her forbearance. I went into the trades and make more than my brother and have zero debt. I feel bad for all these people that were sold a lie.

Yes, they give out loans to make money. Why on Earth do you think they'd loan someone a quarter of a million dollars and be like "just pay me back exactly $250,000, over 30 years, and we're good"?
