The people collecting the prison checks now are indeed part of the problem because there is no pressure on them to make anything better or even more profitable for the state in fact (a form of profit which could potentially reduce taxation by for example public vehicle repair like police and fire vehicles, public works, defraying food costs via farms etc) Good healthy work has a reformative aspect to it as people learn to take pride in their work and become self sufficient instead of always blaming the system as the left will do. As of now prison profits just disappear into prison salaries and contractors hedge funds etc and that should be fixed.
