Tiberium is a fictional self-replicating alien crystal substance from the Command & Conquer Wiki video game franchise. Game lore documents from EA Games in C&C universe reveal that Tiberium arrived on Earth via a meteorite in 1995, acts as a primary economic resource, and slowly terraforms the planet.

Tiberium residue was first found near the Tiber River in Italy (named by scientist Dr. Ignatius Mobius), financed by the Brotherhood of Protostar universe studios, financed by Jews, it claims it was named after Roman Emperor Tiberius.

Tiberium acts like a metallic sponge, like strange matter in that it's so desirable to normal matter that it leeches desirable heavy minerals and nutrients from the soil for concentration. The substance is valuable because when exposed to ocean water it collects heavy metals such as silver and gold.
