All of the AI companies are basically in competition with each other and China to steal and retain as many smart asians as possible. OpenAI and Anthropic are basically chinese companies.Driving down San Jose you'll see flocks of 10-15 chinese / indian zoomers gathering at bus stops to go to work. Americans have completely fled out of the technology sector. It's over.

All tech companies use 100% AI now. You don't get hired unless you show you can use AI fast to get proper solutions. Companies also now hire foreigners that they can pay less and must remain at the company due to contract and work permit sponsorship.I called it in 2010 during the tech boom that the sweet ride for techbros couldn't last forever. I knew paying programmers $75,000-$200,000 a year really irked them but social media boom was new so they didn't care.So what did the tech companies do?They spend 10+ years pushing Learn 2 Code through government programs and especially through public school. They made going into tech a movement and 2010-2020 you saw MASSIVE amounts of guys entering software developing due it being artificially cool with the promise of huge pay.So they flooded the tech labor market thereby driving wages down while also taking advantage of foreign workers.My buddy who lives in Toronto and is a senior developer has spent years unemployed cuz every company has a list of like 30 proprietary or obscure frameworks they want you to be proficient in or they want you to be some kind of social justice acvitivist (not joking) so you "align with their core values."
