These men are not crusaders. Crusaders, particulary those were Knights Templar, would have done things quite differently than these modern men if they were alive today. For one, they would have navigated the local political system in that American town where the mosque resides, positioning themselves as influencers to both politicians and the community power players in business. Second, they would have gained the blessing of the many different Christian churches in the town. Third, they would make contact with the leaders of that Mosque and attempted to negotiate the mosque closing down and leaving the town peacefully, taking all of their belongings with them. Lastly, in the event the mosque and their congregants refuae to leave, the Crusaders would siege the mosque and killing any who refused to leave the building and surrender. This, of course, would be done with no legal repercussions due to the fact the Crusaders would have gotten the blessing of the local justice system. In the event that the federal government would come to atand against the crusaders, the local government would stand with the crusaders in a local-federal military conflict.So, no, these men are not crusaders. It is with the utmost ignorance and disrespect to the Cruasaders of the middle ages that the take up the title for themselves.
