Really the question is how much shotgun you want to lug around and how choked you need it to be. Too much choke can cause you to need an expert to use it or shot deformation. Every thing like this isn't a problem of making it but at what range and time you want it to be open. You can dial in the opening to any given range but only one at a time. Almost any hit will put them on the ground. You can also go after the fiber optic tether most of them are using, but that is a different problem.

With a semi auto long shotgun full of bird shot it would be trivial if you got your eye on the drone. Drones are so weak I think the right weapon is an airsoft type, full of metal bbs, full auto, and basically an unlimited magazine capacity. You could also train hawks to kill them. That's probably the smartest thing.
