Myths allow people to live the same moment again and again
Those are the things that actually govern politics
In a sense, they are politics
Generally they take the form of someone choosing to risk death
America's myths are Revolution, Cowboy stuff
The pan-Western/American imperial myth is WW2
Striker had the right political instincts in terms of wanting to repeat Charlottesville until it forced the dam to break on White rights
Everyone else dodging repression missed the point (repression generating martyrs)
