There is a driver's education course lasting over a week (usually during summer break) where you listen to the instructor drone on about safety and watch a few videos showcasing major incidents and how to avoid them, a written test consisting of over 50 questions (multiple choice, T/F, etc.), and a driving test where you are on the road for roughly one hour taking primary and secondary roads, as well as highways and interstates. It IS piss easy if you're not a drooling idiot as all the questions are common sense questions and driving is extremely simple if you're paying attention to your surroundings. These are things normies are incapable of, and as the other anon said, gen z and alpha are afraid so they put it off for longer, making them even more inexperienced when they should have grasped the fundamentals earlier in life.
