Last time we saw a drop in oil consumption like this was in 2008 during the financial crisis. Their coal and iron ore imports have cratered too, so it's not just oil.
>>
They can't import it because the pool's closed. Other shit is getting costly to move too.

Belt and Road is closed too lol.
>>
540503699
Retard.
>>540503165
They're drawing from internal storage to prevent a recession since that'd mean fewer exports
>>
>>540503165
Definitely niggers.
>>
china upgraded their internal oil production. they realize they can't rely on the US or Russia
>>
>>540503165
>>540504062
Fake, curated markets. Refer to Tucker Carlson's recent interview with Chris Martenson.
>>
>>540503165
china doesn't want to be dependent on oil, they have a massive solar panel grid like no other country on the planet
>>
>>540504062
>They're drawing from internal storage to prevent a recession since that'd mean fewer exports
How much do they have left? If consumption is the same, this amounts to 6 million bpd being drawn from storage.
>>540504175
you made that up
>>
>>540504316
but why did it crash all of a sudden after continuously rising for decades?
>>
>>540504276
>(((Tucker Carlson)))
>>
>>540504366
their refineries stop buying. It's that fast. they just said no we don't want oil anymore
>>
Covid 26 is hitting them.
>>
>>540504524
why didn't they do that before if it was that easy?
>>
>>540504524
No, the oil isn't getting through. Iran can't pump or export oil. Gulf Arabs, same deal. Venezuela doesn't ship to China through the Panama Canal any more. Heck they don't even ship to Cuba.

Soon their exports built up in their supply chain and warehouses will trickle and dry up. No more Switch no more PS2 no more Smart TV lol. No more NOTHING.

how much does he pay to shill for him? i mean he shills for nicotene gummies and (((mortgage lenders))), so no shame in that game right?
>>
>>540503165
they have oil from russia and africa, and a lot of their own coal, nuclear also

The same thing that explains this.
>>
>>540504934
Which is what? Explain it.
>>
>>540504906
I didn't ask where their oil imports come from. I asked why they imported so much before but then completely stopped all of a sudden.
>>
>>540504622
they exported refined fual
>>
>>540504670
holy kek how many months is that going to take? the doomsdays can never give a date
>>
>>540503165
The strait of Hormuz is still closed, if you didn’t know. That’s where Asia gets oil. China now has to rely on the gays of Hormuz who were left behind.
>>
>>540505107
why did they stop doing that? there's a shortage of refined fuel now due to russia halting exports. they could make bank
>>
>>540505176
government mandated they stop exports, hence demand dropped. They have eased up some now that the price of oil is under $90

Everyone thinks trump is manipulating the market.
China has a lot more power over the market right now than trump and his handlers.
The sooner you realize that, the sooner you get your shit out of the market, before the market returns to its intrinsic value: zero.
>>
>>540505313
>government mandated they stop exports
why though? this is what i'm asking
>>540505325
>Everyone thinks trump is manipulating the market.
>China has a lot more power over the market right now than trump and his handlers.
Why do people think Trump is manipulating the market then instead of Xi?
>>
>>540505140
>holy kek how many months is that going to take?
I dunno it probably depends on the exact goods. Goods which move quickly will be more likely to run out first, I expect a COVID-grade crunch on electronics to hit hard, stuff like can openers and microwaves, air fryers will be next. TVs eventually, computers. Everything.

We have enough used shit in the pipeline for the consumers to survive indefinitely though, it won't be a real crunch. But look who makes most of our ascorbic acid for vitamin C, in fact all vitamins - it's China. Masks, gloves, etc. TP and diapers. Surgical tubing. Better to rip the band-aid off quick, the corporations were being all corporation-y when Trump said move away from China and stalled, now he's forcing the issue.

>OP 8 pbtid 'y-you're the shill!!!1!11!!!' maldbot
All the podcasters have some advertising. I don't smoke (anything) or chew.
Only thing I did here was point out the germane-to-OP-topic oil price market interview with Martenson. For some reason, pointing out something (an interview guests) that specifically addresses and explains in detail the OP topic that (You) posted here on /pol/ rustles jimmies. Not my problem
>>
>>540505404
why? to stop the price of oil going up to much. They rather 3rd word phlips and Africans suffer gas shortages then domestic prices go up
>>
>>540505456
but how much does tucker pay?
>>540505496
why would they ever export fuel in the first place then? why make the price higher for chinese by exporting fuel?
>>
>>540505456
I just replied (((Tucker Carlson))) because I thought it would be funny.
>>
>>540505567
why? when oil was cheap the buy up crude oil and refine it and sell low grade refined fuel to 3rd worlders for profit. Oil prices go up to much so government is afraid citizen will suffer so government stops exports to keep prices in the affordable range. Is that really hard to understand? are you perhaps on the slow side?

chink shills absolutely scrambling for cope
>>
>>540505759
right but fuel prices go up along with oil prices fool. they've gone up even more now due to all the refineries in Russia blowing up and Iran's attacks on gulf refineries
>>
>>540505783
They started coping weeks ago with the CHYNA SAVES WORLD BY CUTTING BACK ON ENERGY IMPORTS FOR HARMONY WORLDWIDE bullshit threads lol.
>>
>>540505956
i've been noticing the chink shilling has skyrocketed in past weeks.
i have little problem with china or chinese if they stay in their own country.
but something is definitely up
>>
>>540506089
They don't stay in their own country, they do all kinds of weird shit here and elsewhere. Remember the balloons? That's nothing.
>>
>>540505583
It's still a worthwhile interview. (though I don't always concur with everything he says about/his analysis of markets) Martenson knows what he's talking about when it comes to the debt-based global economic model, post-1970s Financialization of the global economy, lack of price discovery mechanism in 21st century capital markets etc.
It's a plausible discussion and (partial, anyway) explanation of the inexplicable post-February 2026 market movements and valuations.
>>
I typed out a long post but i hit refresh and lost it.
Tl;dr china fucked cuz they need oil and w/ hormuz done=no easy oil, they have no means of force majeure. It's ogre for China.
>>
>>540507914
yep

dey fucked

famine coming too, fertilizer didn't go out for planting season across asia, africa, even europe
>>

I'm starting to get the feeling that all this money printing and shuffling may be coming to an end. We might be about to go Zimbabwe. I'll give it a watch.

Don't forget about the El Nino cycle that's about to kill their monsoon season. Drought is on the way for them.
>>
>>540508258
I don't pay much attention to climate stuff, maybe it happens, maybe not. Can't trust the science there. But it could fuck with 'em!
>>
>>540508353
The El Nino and La Nina cycle has been going on for far longer than climate change science was a thing. Just a natural back and forth our oceans go through. Their is a very good chance the SEA is going to be fucked. Possible mass die off in India. With the straits being closed and a drought on the way, things are going to be very interesting come harvest time.

i never watch tucker carlson, so I thought I'd give this a try
he is so fucking boring and stupid it's shocking
he's referring to Ron Unz, the libertarian who just makes things up?
and the sock puppet Martenson he brings up is plainly an environmentalist skinsuiting a nationalist.
If you fell for this garbage there's no helping you. you are 1000% retarded.

>China oil imports
Collapsed because they import through Hormuz.
>>
>>540503165
Nobody really knows the particulars desu
I don't really think most speculation is useful either, you would probably need to be familiar with their oil-requiring industry to have a shot at accuracy.
It's dangerous to assume that foreign pooolicy experts consult with such experts btw, that's not the norm. Generally speaking I assume all burger foreign policy is done by retards, and any intelligent consultants are nignored even if they are (which is rare) consulted.

They could also starve Japan, South Korea, Taiwan etc of fuels cause, you know, they are all allies of the US and now the US is running around Asia doing damage control like bailing out the entire Japanese economy while the S. Korean stock market burns and Taiwan is under virtual economic blockade.
