Ive been in construction for 20 years and the younger people generally dont fit that image anymore (here in Denmark that is).
That being said, even here if you work a trade you are basicly an enemy of the state.

On top of that, your work conditions are just worse than people who work at an office, you get shit in your lungs and probably gonna die 15 years earlier than you would have. Theres alot of pro/con for this kind of job. Generally speaking i would say dont do it, just get a job like other people where you dont have to do anything like being a politician or a doctor
