My parents still talk about their trip to Hungary, which took days on their Simson bikes, and how they were asked who their "boss" is(head of state) because they didn't care about East Germans because they had no money. Despite that unbrotherly behaviour between fellow Communist countries, East Germans still loved to visit that country because it was so exotic(water melons, hot temperature in summer).
