Glowworms, giant ferns, trees that look straight out of Dinotopia, no snakes or poisonous insects, no large predatory mammals. It is basically paradise in that regard.The local indigenous population is more visible than in other countries because they were/are such badass warriors that they fought the British army to a standstill, and also a good part of the tribes allied with the British (but also kept independent by arming themselves and maintaining fortified settlements in defensible areas). They have a really cool culture now, not so much back in the day when they were murdering and raping each others tribes on a regular basis. However the politics are also awful for the most part, the government cares more about catering to billionaires, their bunkers (of which there are lot of but are kept quite secret), and the billionaire globalist industries like lumber than about looking out for the common folk. Technically part of the commonwealth so they have to deal with British pedo culture and laws and "green" / DEI initiatives.
