The retard doesn't realize that the longer the strait is closed the more political pressure Trump has at home so the more bargaining power Iran has, and at the same time the more they wait out discussing terms, the more time Iran has to rebuild their weapon stockpiles to attack when the peace attempt inevitably fails.Trump went into this thinking he could bully the Iranian regime by bombing them for a few days. That was never going to happen. The whole war should have been avoided and just kept at the escalation level of a few bombings on strategic facilities like the 12 days war last year, pretending like nothing is happening. Basically exploit escalation management to be able to bomb Iran and frame that as "the new normal" in a way that if Iran escalated further by closing the strait that would have been seen globally as an aggressive move from their part. This should have remained a matter of launching missiles at each other, deploying the American fleet at Hormuz was a mistake.

They were getting handed defeat after defeat, from the pager incident wiping out Hezbollah's leadership to Assad's regime falling and Iran fleeing the scene. But none of that was on Iran's home turf and their capabilities, control over the strait, and willingness to fight was drastically underestimated.
