In 1981 our target price for economical LEO access was $600/kg. The Shuttle never came close. Falcon right now achieves a lower price than that $600/kg, inflation adjusted. Falcon is handling most of NASA's flights including Cygnus launches. It has saved NASA from irrelevance and kept us in the race. Starship, when it achieves its target, will make space access as cost effective as Express Mail.
