After the cold war ended the US stopped building so many munitions.The reality is that a military superpower shouldn't be struggling to support a proxy war in Europe and a completely half assed war against Iran. The DOD budget needs increasing massively and the US needs to expand the military industrial base back home. It's already doing that with artillery shells (slowly) since 2022 but it needs to do it with everything else.
