They are saying per transit but how long is a fucking transit going to be? You could end up sat off the coast of Oman for 2 months waiting- in which case $2000 would be well below the industry norm, even for third worlders like philipinos and indians.

>>540612611I should clarify.You can probably get fake STCWs but you also need a seaman's discharge book. Your discharge book is issued by your respective country, it's like a passport. Maybe it's possible to get a forged one somewhere like india but you'd have zero chance in Finland.If you want to work at sea why don't you look into job opertunities in Finland. There are usually trainee schemes where they will train you to AB level.You have some cool icebreakers in Finland, those would be great to work on.

Sometimes it's somewhere in the middle.I've been quite lucky. Ended up with a good outfit and have been fortunate enough to travel all over the world. 9 different countries in the past 2 years. And we got decent shore leave in most of them which is rare nowadays.Regardless of what ship your on and what it's doing, even if you're not getting ashore, you at least get great sunsets and sunrises.
