If I do decide to scratch my itch I'm going to go for gear that can protect me well. Riding in shorts and sandals is way too stupid and for no reason. My first sports car was a manual and I learned how to drive manual out the lot on it. Sure I stalled a bunch of times but I picked it up and eased myself into it. I didn't hammer the throttle out the lot. Just because it has high horsepower doesn't mean you have to use it. You've got to ease yourself into the power and get a progressive feel for it. Keep revs low, throttle low, and the gear high. Then work it from there. I've used that sports car to teach family how to drive manual. I guess I'm a good teacher because they picked it up better than I did lol.
