Once the censorship eased, especially on Twitter, there was less reason for posters to remain here. Why keep posting on 4chan, where you can't post videos or webms with sound or multiple images per post? Using an Anon account on twitter is almost superior in every way. The format here is still enjoyable, but the effort posts are few and far between. The "general" threads are themselves a kind of cancer, but are also the only reason to really check pol day after day. Even as recently as 2021, 4chan and /pol/ in particular was extremely right wing. This website is still worth going to, but /pol/ itself is less of a reason than before. Boards like /o/ and /CK/ and /g/ and even /TV/ and /x/ often have better discussion than you get on here
