Jesus was the fulfilment of the law of moses. And he removed the need for a middleman between man and God. At least an Earthly middleman. The Pharisees had become too focused on the literal interpretation of the word of the law rather Than the spirit of it. Jesus represented the total embodiment of the law in it's true spiritual form.
