I wonder what this means for already registered NFA items. Assuming that DOJ gives up and applies the judge's ruling from N.D. Texas nationwide would items already on the NFA registry be removed from it and treated as regular firearms? I own a number of NFA registered toys and it would be nice if eventually they were deregulated, too. I assume this will be the case eventually because there's just no way DOJ/ATF will be able to enforce the NFA at all as applied to the covered items (short barrels/AOWs/suppressors) in a piecemeal fashion. It will be impossible so DOJ will have to admit the NFA will no longer be enforced for the sections covered in the injunction.
