The quintessential principle of western civilization
Explain to me exactly how I benefit from paying for my McDouble. I'm out $15 and I have nothing to show for it. There's clearly only 1 winner there.
>>540696788How do I benefit when my government destroys my towns economy for cheap Chinese shit?
>>540696788>coercion doesn't existOP is retarded
>>540696845You got a mcdouble. You received a good for your money. The quality of said good was awful, but you made that choice.
>>540696788>Both parties benefitHow do goyim benefit when Jews at the Fed counterfeit infinite amounts of money
>>540696788unless both parties THINK they benefit from it, which is fucking wholly different
>>540697027>free market>the free market fed prints money!you're not this retarded are you?
>>540696879>government>free marketmutts are truly retarded
>>540696788In reality, the transaction only happens if both parties EXPECT a benefit. Which is fine and moral, but let’s not pretend everyone gets enriched all the time. I’m a lolbert, but we have to separate the rational, moral libertarians (like myself) from the irrational, utilitarian libertarians like Friedman. People like Friedman believe that free markets ALWAYS produce the best outcomes in all situations. This is just not true. An above-average king would produce better outcomes than a free market. The problem is that most governments perform below the level of the free market, meaning in most cases the free market delivers the best results for the most people. This also leaves out the problem of individual suffering, as people want their government to smooth out bad luck. A free market punishes the unlucky for the good of the majority. As a ln adult, I pay for insurance, knowing full well on average I will lose money, to protect myself from being the unlucky outlier. Moral libertarianism is a much more defensible position. Instead of making endless fallacious arguments purporting that free markets ALWAYS deliver superior results, moral libertarianism allows me to say on average it delivers a better result but ALWAYS delivers a moral result.
>>540697064The government lowering trade barriers is making it more “free market”. It just so happened that doing so destroyed America manufacturing
>>540697133the free market doesn't mean your country will be better off mate, the free market only means transactions should be done without coercion involved, which might, on a national level, very well lead to a lot of people being worse off
>kikes control the market with oligopolies>kikes make you accept whatever they sell you because you'll die otherwise>the free market
>>540696845That's exactly what it is saying, it doesn't benefit you, so you don't have a free market.
>>540696788I sleep easy at night knowing Friedman's burning in hell. I mean, it's literally in his name. FRIED MAN. As in he's a man getting absolutely FRIED by the wrath of God for all the bullshit he peddled to everyone. >hurr just give all money to billionaires that will fix everything>durrr never spend money on healthcare ever let le free market fix it>i hate socialism because it's "theft" but I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER complain about America overthrowing random latin american countries to steal their resources because ummmmm THAT'S FREE EXCHANGE OK????literally all problems america faces today stem from his ideology completely mindfucking the mutts for half a century now
>>540696845
>>540697133>It just so happened that doing so destroyed America manufacturingGood. If American manufacturing was inefficient, it should go out of business. Why should American consumers be stuck with overpriced shitty products? That's a feature, not a bug.
>>540697124Moralism itself is indefensible. The only thing true about the free market is that it efficiently allocates resources to meet demand and it does so better than even the best king. Whether or not that's desirable is up to the individual.
