A simple test for those who still play vidya is to ask it for advice about a boss or in-game situation. More often than not, it can't even find a decent answer with a well-documented game and will just feed into the emotional state in can derive from your input and give you shit like "yea, that's really bad design", "you're awesome for beating that boss".
They're not made to be helpful - it's the same shit they tried to engineer with Facebook, Insta, etc. It's primarily designed to keep you engaged.
