i thought its empty words but its not, russia can do it in
-north atlantic, NE from Iceland due to obvious reasons, medium traffic, but high value goods
-east asia, there is giant traffic corridor there that is going along russian kuril islands
-sea of japan, whole sea is under control of missiles from russia and best korea, traffic is giant
-hormuz strait if Iran cooperates
-bab-el-mandeb if houthi cooperate

chinese waters are out of the question, they are still doing nothing

russia is land nation so it cant be far away from reach of its missiles or allies

>>540712285

Yeah, with what navy? It's not like Russia has the capabilities to do this, nor is there any EU ships sailing in or near Russian waters anyway (while every Russian ship has to sail through EU waters to reach international waters).

The fuck Russia gonna do exactly? Seize a ship and then... Sail it through EU waters to get it to dock in Russia?

I speculate its about the arctic route. There has been a lot of kvetching about that. And now the boogeyman actually shows up and Trump yoinks Greenland for defense.

That route is still not really possible though. Most of it is ice for 9-10 months of the year, and parts of it are permanently frozen.
>>
>>540715148
>The fuck Russia gonna do exactly? Seize a ship and then... Sail it through EU waters to get it to dock in Russia?

In addition to >>540714002 Russia can also seize ships in the Baltic or the Black Sea. Its probably not going to happen, as the ukies now are hurting real bad after they provoked Russia into actually striking the transport systems Ukraine is dependent on to wage war. The ukies are also out of pac-3s while Russia has a fresh batch of nork kn-23 and 24 missiles to snipe them with.

Rosatomflot operates eight nuclear icebreakers, four new Project 22220 vessels and four older legacy ships. Russian Navy deploys armed "combat icebreakers"
>>
>>540715583

So the only possible way to get through that area is for a few months a year with a Russian, nuclear powered ship and you somehow think the EU are just going to sail ships up there?

The Strait of Hormuz is 10 miles wide at its narrowest. A baby could control it. You're talking about something entirely different, attempting to seize control over entire seas. That's barely feasible for a country like the US or China. For Russia? In its current state? You live in lala land.
>>

I'm sure Russia is going to enter another countries waters and seize ships. That's a good way to lose access to those waters forever. And incase you didn't realize it, for Russia to access international waters from it's eastern ports, they have to sail through another countries waters.
Seems like a smart trade, lose access to the atlantic ocean so you can brag about seizing one EU ship.

Ukraine wouldn’t even ask you, they do it already. EU has zero control over Ukrainian targeting, the weapons and satelites are american.
>>
>>540716142

Yesyes, the country who lost half it's navy to a country without one is so amazing and powerful absolutely no one would ever dare oppose them.

The reality is, if Russia even has the warships to spare, that one escort will be sunk by "Ukraine" like every other time a Russian warship leaves a protected dock. Then the ship it was escorting will be seized.
>>
>>540715658
>a few months a year
They just had their first full year where the route was passable iirc
>you somehow think the EU are just going to sail ships up there?
If things in the ME and Africa keep getting spicy, a passable(if slow) north route will only get more and more tempting. If the conditions of current shipling lanes deteriorate badly enough they might not even have a choice but to sail over to Asia from the north to get cargo back and forth. Russia really does have a good shot of controlling the northern shipping routes, which is the real reason why Europe wants them either gone or brought to heel, not their claims over territory in Ukraine and the rest of Eastern Europe.

But as the group of traitors know as my government is especially retarded, they didn't get the message and decided that the Ukrops should be the owners of some grain ship their pirate fleet brought in.
And since our brainlet group of masons in "Hogsta domstolen" confirmed this retarded idea would be implemented this week. The game is up, and it's time for retaliatory action.

I hate my government so much. There is no reason we should be involved in any of this.

>not even Russians are that stupid.
Putin's not really stupid, but there's a reason he acts that way. He doesn't go on the internet to see what is happening in the world, so his only sources of information are what the people around him are telling him. This leads to Putin living in an artificial bubble of sometimes false information, like "Ukrainians want to be liberated, and they will throw you a parade to celebrate after they surrender to your 3-day operation"

So that's why Putin made that really stupid decision to invade Ukraine even though he's not stupid, his "info bubble" makes him act stupid. That can happen again, with more stupid decisions from a man who isn't really stupid.

i mean, nato clearly wants to escalate, and have been trying to for more than a decade
it just remains to be seen wether putin is willing to go to war with half the world or if he wants to keep it an indirect conflict for a while longer, but ultimately the powers that be have no intention of allowing russia to carve out its own tiny "sphere of influence" around its borders like the soviets did

Are you seriously recycling the "bad intel, trump doesn't know what hes doing" MIGA cope?
Yes the invasion wasbungled because of false info and yes he was betrayed by people he trusted into thinking the retreat from Kiev would result in actual peace negotiations.
Russia's generals also didn't see the million hohol zergrush on Kharkov coming and had to pull back.
But outside of that everything that everything that has been done this war has been intentional.
The only bad part about the invasion was the calculation that 100k troops would be enough. A serious force 5x that size would had seized what Russia wanted in a timely manner. and made continuous fighting by the Ukrops a lot harder than the already senseless 7-1 losses slaughter it's been.

Diesel is light and clean compared to what ships used to burn.
That one was running on "heavy fuel oil" of some sort, basically just burning crude oil to run turbines.
All really big ships used to do that, 100 years ago.

And many of the small pleasure boats used in Skærgården have a top speed of 10km/h, so it's not like they can outrun a cargoship run by some drunk Russian captain and his retarded crew.
>>
>>540712285
Americans know the exact location of every large vessel which entered Russian ports recently.

They could just publish a daily map with the location of every shadow fleet vessel and their last couple names. Add any ship doing ship to ship transfers to the list. Would kill the shadow fleet without needing to seize anything (without plausible deniability they are commercial poison).

Shame the EU doesn't have a real military, so it can't do that.

They cheaped out because they didn't' want to scale up a nuclear reactor, it's just like a thick tar that produces a ton of soot, you can basically track the ship through the trail of smoke it leaves behind for miles. Even just for short missions it would clog systems and require constant cleaning. They could only use it for short regional missions, and because they used a ramp instead of a catapult, jets needed to carry less fuel to achieve lift. It's still technically in service, although it's constantly in dock. There is no point to it even existing and them trying to cut costs was retarded, just like Chernobyl.
>>
