all your auto manufacturing will be gone by 2030. trump can easily get airbus to move all production from mirabel plant in quebec to alabama by 2030. shale oil boom in usa means canada has little leverage in pricing. new TMX pipeline from Alberta to BC is for crude. The oil is refined in Asia, not in BC. The world sees Canada only for raw resources and dirt. Not for any real manufacturing or advanced technical processes anymore.
Canada has zero leverage in US trade talks. Watch the lead negotiator for Canada by next wednesday will surrender everything in the trade talks or simply give up and tariffs go as planned.

Once you realize that Canadian auto manufacturing sector is dead, aviation manufacturing is hanging on and completely beholden to Airbus, a European company that doesn't give a fuck about Canada. Also Canada's energy sector is very much vulnerable and has lost massive amounts of leverage.

After that all Canada has is real estate speculation fueled by mass immigration and service industry. A permanent reduction in population which is most likely will crash the real estate speculation and all the canadian banks who fillled up their collateral with mortgages.
Oh, and with reduced manufacturing, demand for Canadian dollar will decrease, devaluing the currency, making imported products (a massive proportion of goods in Canada) more expensive for consumers, and thus starting a spiral in economic downtown as consumer spending decreases

People think Canada will be able to redirect their trade from America to to other countries, especially Europe and East Asia. Firstly, because of holdups due to "environmental protection", Canada has completely lost out on the LNG market. US and Qatar have completely captured the European and East Asian markets even though BC has a massive untapped LNG reserve on its shore.
Secondly, Canada has made bad decisions with relation to its dealings with US Allies in East Asia. For example, it failed to accept the Hanwha bid for its submarines, which promised other large scale industrial development projects in Canada if their bid was accepted. Unlike the United States, Canada has not seen large scale EV battery plant construction powered by FDI. In fact, the Stellantis EV Battery Plant project in Brampton, Ontario fell through and Stellantis sold the plant.

Also when Carney and Trump II came in, China levied heavy tariffs on canola kek. And forced Canada to allow import of almost 50k Chinese EVs into Canada. Despite Canada being 5th large auto manufacturer by value in the world.

Canada is royally screwed. It will not have the money to maintain its concrete sprawl "infrastructure". There will need to be mass demolitions and reconversion of brownfields to agriculture/nature as the population craters.
The Canadian people are elderly and ignorant. The uniparty is the only real political force in Canada. It is most likely that no positive radical change will occur

As soon as net migration of Chinese to Canada turns neutral or even only slightly positive, Chinese population will begin rapid decline due to apocalyptic fertility rates among the Chinese population in Canada. They have a fertility rate hovering at just over 0.75. 6 in 10 Chinese Canadian women of childbearing age has no children, the highest rate of any ethnoracial group in Canada.

its crazy because I remember going to canada in the 90s when china was the main source of immigration to china and things actually seemed pretty good there. like it actually seemed like kind of a futuristic white-asian society with a handful of other people and zero blacks. go forward to the last couple years and going to canadian cities is like a nightmare version of what it used to be. I'll probably never go back after how bad my last trip there was.

on one hand like yeah america has a lot of shitty cities too but our cities have been shitty for ages. canada decided to basically shit up their entire civilization overnight when things actually used to be pretty good before.

I'll never understand the canadian mind. they love their leaders too. crazy.
>>
>>540722969
yeah canada is unexplainable. they had an amazing country and just fucking threw it out overnight. absurd
>>
>>540717190
I think they will introduce UBI. It will probably come before the next election to secure another liberal win as standard of living plummets in the years leading up to it. Immigration will go crazy and citizenship will be handed out basically for free as well in a last ditch attempt. They will just scam the dying system with the dollar around $0.25/USD due to UBI and economic collapse will occur around 2033-2035. Though I think the elite are smarter than that and will instead literally sell the country instead to avoid being publicly crucified if shit hit the fan.
>>
>>540717190
And the best part is canadians are so stupid, smug, and arrogant that they don't see this.

yeah like denmark, norway, netherlands and sweden can be welfare countries because they are actually highly productive countries with realtively high social cohesion. denmark has massive pharma and life sciences presence, famously novo nordisk, along with large shipping industry with maersk, and green energy infrastructure manufacturing. along with good public infrastructure and a developed service sector and institutions.

norway has massive oil and gas, shipping presence, is world's second-largest seafood exporter especially high value products like salmon, hydropower, and developed service sector.

netherlands has asml, shell, philips, klm, highly developed public infrastructure, tech scene, port of rotterdam, schilpol airport, second largest agricultural exporter by value in the world with massive greenhouse operations, etc.

and sweden has transport manufacturing giants like volvo and scania, one of europe's most active tech scenes, natural resources, astrazeneca and research, saab, etc.

yeah idk I just can't really get it. like just be a stable rich country with a small population. sell resources. have some shady banking laws and stability that means you draw money from everywhere. america being next door is like an economic cheat code. I don't even understand how canada could fuck it up so bad.

you'd think canadians would be really fucking mad at how the last 30 years went for them but they don't even seem to know anything happened. you couldn't even make them care about canada either way, they only want to talk about america.

like how are canadians so useless? you can't even feel sorry for them like something bad happened undeserved, they seem to have not really even understood the good things they once had, or how to make anything good again.

I read that canada just gives a huge portion of its money directly into indian tribes too which is hilarious. it's like they just want to invent ways to lose.

The CAD lost parity 10 years ago and began free falling in 2019, stabilized with mass immigration. I would guess it would have bottomed out in the $0.50/USD range. Of course its devastating but it would be a slow decline. Hopefully these wildfires scare away softwood lumber export combined with the mass exodus of corpos/brain drain.
>>
>>540724715
i stopped feeling any sort of sympathy for canadians after they elected carney. Yes, polievre is de facto the same deal. But how do you vote for the same party that destroyed your country for the past 10 years?
>>
>>540725284
No one voted carney, much like no one voted Biden
>>
>>540725284
Only hope I see is with the Dominion Society. Rapidly rising young group of Canadian ethnonationalists calling for mass remigration. Them being successful is very unlikely unfortunately. But if they are somehow, mass remigration will crash the faux Canadian "economy". But Canada needs a hard reset anyways so not necessarily a bad thing.
>>
>>540725284
it was the same for me. like I follow canada off and on from this board and I had some sympathy for them when they were getting rekt by trudeau over and over but they elected the same party again and again. at some point you have to admit they deserve it. like they can't even complain voting is fake or that they got tricked because they voted the same thing over and over. look at the polls and you can see that canadians love it too.

you get some average canadians on this board sometimes too really worked up about america and justifying what canada is doing, I believe that the average canadian really does believe that stuff. so yeah I have no sympathy left for canada, it's sad to me that such a nice country got turned into a shithole but they don't even seem to care.

I'm sure there's like 5% of the population who is aware of what is happening and cares about it but it seems to me they're so heavily outnumbered they should just leave because the country is fucked.
>>

There is no scenario where Canada collapses where the US doesn't collapse first.
The only scenario where Canada collapses is where the US collapses then their paramilitaries cross the border and invade Canada.

Canada has too many natural resources and too low a population in order to collapse from a global economical collapse. It's completely self-sufficient on energy, food, water, and even has control of several of the future's projected habitable lands post-3 degree Celsius increase of the preindustrial in global temperatures, and future maritime chokepoints in the northwest passage as it opens up.
It's in an even more cushy position than Russia in that regard.

But like I said, the Canada will collapse because of US invasion trying to steal their resources and land, nothing short of that.

The US and multiple other countries are projected to collapse sooner. By 2050 we will have reached the 3 degree Celsius increase in global temperature above the preindustrial baseline, meaning the world will go from 8 billion to 4 billion in mass die-off. A significant number of these people will be from the US, those already with low water supplies and precarious energy grids like Texas.
The US has no contingency or plan for this imminent threat aside from what they're doing now, vassalization/annexation of Mexico, Venezuela, Cuba, Greenland, Canada, also known as the American Technate plan, which Elon Musk's paternal grandfather, Joshua N. Haldeman, was part of a movement promoting back in the late 1930s.
>>
>>540725834
in some ways I kind of respect the boomers. like they acted in self interest their whole lives and sacrificed everybody else. but they actually did win. like boomers basically just won everything, and continue to win.

on the other hand you have plenty of young people out there voting for mass immigration and certainly not protesting against it or anything else like that. destroying their own futures, for no gain. losers in every way. it would be one thing if young people had stood up for their countries and their futures and then lost. but young people also stand behind the same things that destroyed their futures.

its like covid or something. perfect metaphor really. young people went along with everything and were the most ardent rule enforcers, but what they were enforcing was only ever going to protect a bunch of old people. meanwhile old people couldn't be bothered to do any shit at all, and financially sacrificed the young for their own benefit.

young people can't be bothered to do anything about this kind of thing, and when they do get worked up it's about gaza or being gay or literally doing communism again or whatever. so in some ways fuck em too.
>>
>>540726297
I don't even know where to start in addressing your cope.
If people are having to live off the land, I imagine that's a signal that the country collapsed

And resources don't mean shit if you don't know how to effectively capitalize off them

>>540726330
>>540725467
>>
>>540726297
To make it clear the only scenario Canada collapses is a mass land migration via the US border, which is too vast to defend.
Massive swarms of American, Mexican, and South American migrants will flood into southern Canada from the US border and Canada will not be able to do anything about it, just like Spain couldn't do anything against the Moroccans walking into Ceuta.

This is projected to happen with certainty when climate change makes the US too hot and short of basic resources like water or electricity to live in.

They have alot of remote areas they can move to, so it will take a while for their government to get to them if they move to the middle of nowhere. Its crazy how they have imported so many Jeets and Chinks though, enough that they can be elected to office in many places, diluting the vote of the White Canadians who have lived there for generations, who built the country up from nothing. Once everything is built up, they flood it with 3rd world parasites without a pot to piss in, and no idea about maintaining infrastructure. They just burrow into what was already built and degrade it all, like termites.
>>
>>540726630
And what do you think will happen to the younger Whites? They will be forced into commie block pods when it all breaks down, surrounded by brown and black angry faces. >>540726530
>If people are having to live off the land
>resources don't mean shit if you don't know how to effectively capitalize
The throughline you're missing is precisely what links these two things together:
Capitalism and global trade as we have it today is finished. It's dead. People will return to living off the land in the near future because the current system is leading imminently to mass extinction from climate change. 50% of global population by 2050 will die off, and that's if we stopped burning fossil fuels today.

I'm not saying there will be a mass casualty event killing millions of Canadians or anything. I'm saying the state and economy will collapse though. White people flooding areas farther away from cities.

What is money? In what denomination are you measuring this bankruptcy?
What even is bankruptcy in the context of sovereign nation states? And in the context of a complete breakdown in global trade relations? And in the context of the USD losing its status as reserve currency?

Some facts:
Canada's national debt is 2.3 trillion USD
US' national debt is 39 trillion USD
Canada's population is 8.43 times less than the US'
This means per capita Canada has roughly half the debt the US has.
Both these government's debts are owed primarily to their own citizens respectively.

> A permanent reduction in population which is most likely will crash the real estate speculation and all the canadian banks who fillled up their collateral with mortgages.
This would be good. The main problem here by far is the high price of housing. You're describing an improvement.

it's a clear improvement for the people, but not for the real estate private equity firms currently funding all the new "development" happening in the cities
your government will bail them out and the prices will remain high for the average joe, because they were never meant to be yours, it's the "you'll own nothing and be happy" real estate part playing out right in front of you

No it would be catastrophic. The bank of Canada holds zero gold reserves and the $CAD is entirely backed by real-estate investment. This would spiral into millions of foreclosures as borrowers default on their inflated mortgage rates. The feds would need to bail out the banks to the tune of multi-trillions, crashing the dollar into oblivion through hyper-inflation over night.

i wonder who had the smart idea of selling all of canada's gold in 2016....

Both global trade and capitalism are finished for various independent reasons.

Iran's closure of Hormuz means multiple things:
Immediate oil shortage (the effects absorbed by China for months now who reduced their imports by 50% in order to protect global trade, but will not last indefinitely). When China stops absorbing the oil shock that is one vector by which global trade will break down.

Normalization of levies through maritime chokepoints. Again will threaten global trade if countries don't agree with the countries charging the tolls. And these levies will cut into margins even if they're paid meaning no more cheap goods.

Breakdown in relations between countries will create tariffs and breakdown of global trade that way. The seizure of Russian shadow fleet tankers for instance if not condemned will result in the normalization of maritime piracy, meaning cargo ships will be vulnerable to attack in the open ocean, again breaking down global trade.

The breakdown of capitalism is even more robust and well-documented. Some believe capitalism is already dead and we're already in a technofeudalist society. But regardless we've already exhausted all the low hanging fruit that capitalism requires, with the exception of relatively undeveloped resource-rich countries like Canada, Argentina, Australia, so capitalism can't go on for much longer (it requires exploitation of natural resources) and even if it could we wouldn't be able to tank another boom/bust cycle due to the looming climate threat.

>But how do you vote for the same party that destroyed your country for the past 10 years?

The one-two punch of literally nothing happening in the wake of Epstein, and the results of the last election have left me completely irrevocably blackpilled. Not only is our entire political apparatus so hideously corrupt that it doesn't even feel the need to pretend any more, the average person is an utterly retarded nigger cattle that doesn't have the cognitive capacity to think about something for longer then a week any way. The liberal party was so hated under Trudeau that polls showed they were at serious risk of losing party status. They swap out Trudeau for Carney, some fag nobody has heard of, same party completely unchanged otherwise. and all it takes the retarded nigger cattle to now give the party they hated a majority is for this literal who to jingle keys in front of the camera and shout "HOLY SHIT ORANGE MAN IS COMING PANIC". I can't even flee the country because any education/training opertunities are strictly for browns. I don't even have the longshot hope of waiting for all the boomers to finally fucking die because they voted for mass immigration to insure their children will never have a country. Overnight the only political questions of note will change from "who will make the pensions the biggest and own the orange man the most" to "who will expidite the street designation process".

>>540728828
A fool would place blame on one singular man. Many trillions of dollars have been generated in private equity as the result of this ponzi scheme. Sure Trudeau made a killing, though just a drop in the bucket.

BRICS went nowhere. Many financial interactions in the global south no longer involve USD.
They're not going to drop it overnight no more than you can immediately move out of your house after selling it when all your old stuff is still inside.

The next generation system meant to replace SWIFT is already being jointly created by BIS and China. A new reserve will be jointly anointed relatively soon with the blessing of the central banks, we just don't know it yet.

Voting intention has stayed relatively the same since at least the early 2000s The thing about the 2025 election is that the liberals did not massively sweep the country. They performed the same (arguably worse) as in 2021, when Trudeau was elected as the least popular prime minister of all time. They picked up 9 seats in total, exclusively from Quebec, facing major loses in the rest of the country, the Maritimes especially. You see the problem with this country isn't necessarily the population as a whole, rather the electorally rich districts which have strategically had migrant placement and promises of the world in exchange for their vote. Mark Carney is ever so slightly more popular than Trudeau at his lowest, this is the power of the CBC and paid-for polls on full display.

To break it down even further federal policy is entirely directed towards these electorally rich districts to ensure they retain the vote and thus remain in power. If you don't live in one of them the feds are actively undermining your prosperity for the few in the east. Quebecers came out in droves to support the liberals disregarding the bloc because even the slightest prospect of Trump's 51st state rhetoric becoming true = the end of equalization and welfare, the same in part for the Maritimers though they had more sense this time around. The GTA boomer voter base however is largely motivated by real-estate investment continuing to rise which the liberals have a great track record of inflating.
Cost of living, job market, housing cost reductions are a non-issue for the people living in these districts so it takes zero precedence for the liberals. Electoral reform would literally make them unelectable, don't lose hope the likeminded outnumber them regardless of who rules us.

>>540730640
Record low turnout, it will be the last or penultimate federal election. I think Alberta will successfully vote to leave though it will be disputed for years. At the 11th hour the feds will sign some sort of peaceful surrender of territory to the US in which they retain some autonomy in the form of re-negotiated equalization through royalties taken from natural resource extraction in AB and elsewhere. It will be confusing, not a lot of people will understand immediately what happened though they will be in a position to welcome it.
>>
>>540729597
First, thank you for trying to cheer me up. The fact that our political system means the eastern population centers are all that matter politically is a significant contributor to my frustration, not a relief from it. Even if the population suddenly gained 90Iq points and became at least average, their votes would still be irrelevant because the state just has to keep Toronto and Montreal happy to stay in power. Though I would at least not have to listen to geriatrics babble to me about how great it is we've changed from america economically raping us to China economically raping us. It's not like we can VOOT our way into political representation in this case. Alberta almost has the right idea in this case, trying to force the issue by threatening to seperate like Quebec, but even this isn't going to work. What do Albertans think is going to happen? They vote to leave and Carney is going to just say "DARN! Those bratty tax cattle vooted to leave. We have choice but to allow it for the sanctity of our democracy"? Fuck no. They could pass that vote with literally 100% and the Canadian military would start doing airstrikes on them within the hour.

You legitimately believe you will see the end of your country? If so, very bleak..
