>the american dream

I just realized that most people here are too retarded to understand what's going on in this image. So to clarify, those are data centers.

I still have not had it competently explained to me what these "data centers" are actually supposed to be for. Initially like a year ago, they were telling us that they were for the AI fiddle-playing cat videos that everyone stopped paying attention to nearly just as long ago. So, what is the current official fictional reason that we need to build them everywhere? No one can answer that.
>>
>>540739087
It's a complex multilevel grift but the most basic and shortest rundown is:

>Companies break as many regulations as possible and exploit every single loophole they can to build these datacenters in hopes of selling it to one of the AI giants. That's stage one. Stage two is that all the contractors who work on this shit (or lobby for it, or take bribes) overcharge to a ridiculous degree, and the current prices to set up a data center, even with all the fuckery, in the world is NOT profitable. Stage 3 is that the AI giants aren't actually ever interested in buying these centers, they just rent them out for cheap, so the investors and communities hold the bag.

It's a model where everybody but the top 0.0001% loses, bigly.
>>
>>540738015

Indians who are the only ones able to afford the houses in the foreground don't care for datacenters. If anything they like them because they are very big and powerful. Great izzat machines.

3800 square foot house with a 3 car garage on a dead-end road and an enormous business that likely pays 80% of the town's expenses so you have super low property taxes.
Not sure what the problem is? Post pics of your house with timestamp, Sanjay.

America is such a shithole.

In five years the columnar trees will be 40 feet tall and you won't be able to see the data centers. The fence will also probably have that crap you can't see through from far away.

But you sure as fuck will hear the cooling towers, all day, every day, forever.
(Also those shitty beaner built McMansions will fall apart in 10 years.)

I don't see what is wrong with those houses. They are individual, they are big, they have their own garden, have garage, are surrounded by nice houses too, the road looks empty an clean...

>no huge electrical transformers
>no heat exchangers for the liquid cooling setup

Rather have data centers with jobs, than some fucking niggers or spics behind me. ;)

Your just an unemployed faggot leftist who's never seen a server room and believes the internet runs on magic and fairy dust. Get fucking curb stomped you worthless piece of shit.

Okay, retard.

>>540737949
I'm really confused by this, do Americans not have some kind of classification for land, like residential, commercial and industrial? Can you really build multiple giant ass data centers a few meters away from a residential neighbourhood?

Yes, a few rich families that live in huge houses get an annoying noise so millions of us can enjoy the internet and AI. Fuck them and fuck your entitle selfish chinese-influenced NIMBY ass.

Also funded by private equity companies that then stuff the debt into the life insurance companies they took over. So if it goes tits up the life I surface companies balance sheet gets fucked. Note: life insurance companies have state based bailout plans in cases of insolvency, aka tax payers get fucked at the state level.

>>540742837
those arent "people" thats like 10 houses in that pic, being realistic probably 1 person every 10th house
>>
oh and probably none of them like each other because they arent holding themselves accountable to pool resources to create additional area management

The only thing I'd object to is if those offices had bright security lights blasting down from the roof all night long. I love the darkness. Other than that, looks cosy.

Is that so? Weeeeeeell those poor homeowners can simply sell their home to make way for more data centers :-)

Or be forced to continue to get induced tinnitus

>government then proceeds to use the money on 24/7 flock cameras and data centers

Never ever listen to leftoids. They are always a cancer no matter what they want.
>>
>>540741552
It's zoning is done on a local level so the people next to the data center could jave voted against letting them build there or set up barriers.

You're probably right considering pic rel.
Also the Chinese aren't building these monstrosites to the best of my knowledge, so uhhh right again I guess..
>>
>>540737949
Hahahahhahahahaha, all those disgusting McMansions getting exactly what they deserve. Did you know the faggots in those things are actually stealing your tax money? Infrastructure like roads, power, and sewage cost the same per land area no matter if its run into high density urban housing or out into the middle of nowhere to some fags McMansion. These people are parasites.
>>
>>540739087
The end goal is real time tracking of every individual. Everywhere you go you'll receive different prices and social tax penalties depending on your profile. This takes a lot of storage and computing power
