They know they are in the shit right now. The bill to ban Flock in the U.S. has a fuckton of Bipartisan Cosponsors already and it's running like 70/30 against Flock for public approval.

Did you see how they keep sending out their VC investors to shill for it?

Yeah they broke the archival rule, Triplicate it (so if one copy is busted you can validate from the other 2 by majority) or use another parity system. Store in multiple locations in case of fire, flood, theft, mold, moisture, malfeasance, or bad memory.
Its outrageous I have rolls of family photos (on film negatives, we took contact sheets) that are more securely stored than platinum records that would reliably print money for them every 10 years when they could reissue. Fucking insane. Same thing happened with event horizon in transliviana, they lost all they cut out to bring it to R-Rated..... insane

To be fair, if they stuck to roads, like by not installing cameras in children's gymnastic centers and the like, I think just redlight cams and DoT live feeds + random public webcams would get you about the same coverage they are going to end up with. Its just they are up front spending all the compute and storage to standardize the delivery and retrieval. In any metro area, there are so many public accessible webcams, not even considering ring cams. If all the data was api'able or even just streamable.....I'd have almost no problem with flock other than the placements themselves.

It's never too early to wake up, Americomatose.

>>540750487
baby steps, like just a "Right to be Forgotten" law in the states to be able to remove info from databases.....that might actually happen and is one bill. If not flock, it'll be ring, or google, or waymo, or starlink, or amazon, or.....
We have some good speech stuff, some good gun stuff,....but we don't have any privacy anything. They just can charge you with some bullshit, and then you need to provide documents to clear your name....its ass backwards. Right to be Forgotten, Right to repair (or at least provide schema), Right to Own when it says "Buy", Right to not be Trained on would be great. Then maybe lets limit the number of cameras and stingrays everywhere. Because its really the least of my digital issues. I like leaving my house with my phone. Thats more than flock will ever get from me. ever ever ever ever

Their entire business model is that glowniggers can't openly use intel gathered through dragnet mass surveillance on US citizens even if they already have those systems in place and everyone knows it since Snowden.

So what they did is they created a fake and gay (((private company))) filled with jews who literally worked at AIPAC for decades and then gave that (((private company))) billions of dollars in government contracts to setup cameras everywhere and then the government uses that (((private company's))) dragnet mass surveillance system to get leads which then become investigations with warrants and all the other bells and whistles.

All this to openly violate your 4th amendment rights

>muh no expectation of privacy in public argument
The Supreme Court threw out that argument and ruled that location tracking vis GPS constitutes a search and is unconstitutional.
Justice Scalia's opinion from United States v Jones:
The Fourth Amendment provides in relevant part that “[t]he right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated.” It is beyond dispute that a vehicle is an “effect” as that term is used in the Amendment. United States v. Chadwick, 433 U. S. 1, 12 (1977). We hold that the Government’s installation of a GPS device on a target’s vehicle,2 and its use of that device to monitor the vehicle’s movements, constitutes a “search.”
Flock and other ALPRs are brute forcing the same location data, plus driver identification, car identifying features, license plate numbers, electronic signals, and much more, including pedestrians. What is the difference if it is a single GPS device or 100 flock cameras? The result is the same.
>>
>>540751653
>What is the difference if it is a single GPS device or 100 flock cameras
scale is totally lost always in these decisions. Like I should be able to buy whatever insecticide I want, It really doesn't matter if I use DDT in my house personally, it might matter if the local bugman uses it....probably wont. It will matter if every industrial farm, every municipality, every resort, every every every huge thing is doing it. Its never addressed like that. Even with stuff like lead paint, I can buy lead paint easy. Its not hard to make either. Its a great paint. big difference when its the only option. Napster, torrents, etc I put in the same box. No recognition of scale of effect in the DMCA, just number of violations.

they are "searching" your effects without a warrant or even probable cause, or even articulable suspicion. Imagine you local cops just call GM and get all your GPS data from your car with no warrant. They can do that easy with these networks.

>>540751498
surveillance, it doesn't need to be more complicated. they rent out their services to institutions: the police, HOAs, cities in general, after propositioning their services to them.

they're effective. i've already watched multiple crime channels on youtube that reference law enforcement agencies using flock to catch burglars, murders, felons and the such in real time. these cases would have taken much longer to find a resolution without ALPR use.

the issue is, is the convenience worth the cost of your privacy? are you guaranteed any level of privacy outside of your home in the united states? that's where it gets nuanced.
carpenter v. US set the precedent that your cellular data deserves stronger protections under the fourth amendment. before that case, the police could use a work around that lowered the bar of probable cause needed to obtain cellular tower data. now, law enforcement agencies have to use warrants and prove probable cause to gain that information.

so just how gay rights and marriage took a while to establish, carpenter v. US is the stepping stone for digital privacy rights.
what everyone wants or finds acceptable is up to us to argue for.

They should just make the feeds publicly available. If there is no privacy concern then there's no reason not to, it's just recording spaces anyone has access to.
