Why would any non-white actually support that? Africa during colonial rule was just as bad as it is today, except for a few places colonizers built for themselves to govern their holdings from. Those nice photos of African towns during colonial rule that get posted here were designed for less than 1% of the population to live in, mostly colonizers themselves, the rest were living in slums or primitive villages. Same with other kinds of infrastructure, such as railroads - their sole purpose was to accommodate the extraction of resources to Europe and was never meant for the locals to use or prosper from. No matter what nice things they say, colonizers never intend to actually increase the living standards of the colonized population, unless they have a specific need for that, which they rarely do. It is quite telling that in almost all of the places Europeans colonized life expectancy remained at catastrophic levels and started to improve slowly only when they left. That does not mean they were artificially keeping it down, of course, but they surely had no intention of doing anything to correct this. Not to mention that under colonial rule you would be the first one to get sent to the front in case some German king decided to start another pointless war with the French Republic over some border village. There is a good reason nobody wants to be a subject to a foreign entity. They never act in your best interest.
