I'll give you a tip - many storage places offer the second month free, but some like Extra Space Storage offer the first month free. You will have to pay like $29 for the "admin fee" (basically the labor of them cleaning the unit out) but you can get any size unit for just the admin fee. As long as you don't stay in there during their work hours (they do daily walks of the property and check the locks. they'll investigate units without a lock, and if you're in your unit the lock will obviously be off), you won't get caught and you can have a climate controlled private place to sleep. Just be sure to sneak in before the doors close, and be out before the employees come in for the day (usually 8 or 9ish). You can also tell them you work in landscaping or construction and try to get 24h access from them.You need an ID, and tell them you are just storing some clothing and some boxes.
