It's like school lunch, isn't military food for at least the enlisted, always basically like school lunch? Kind of the bulk "grade b" type stuff? I know officers dine on the finest cuisine and have personal chefs, and a whole different larder. Probably a good thing the enlisted never found out about this.

Its fucked up is what it is. The military wastes money like crazy. There is no reason, none at all, why soldiers shouldn't have food that is actually good enough that they miss it when they return to civilian life. Its just greed. The contractor provides the worst food imaginable to maximize profits.
