— Head of the Iranian Parliament's National Security Commission Ebrahim Azizi:
The U.S. President ought to worry about his own security rather than his endless bluffing regarding the Strait of Hormuz; before he ends up hiding in a food truck.
>>
I was just thinking about scotty's announcement of unprecedented economic isolation and trump's statement about making the strait US territory. Is it possible that trump accidentally blurted out the plan? What would the consequences be, purely hypothetically, if the US were to declare the strait US territory? Militarily, it wouldn't make any difference. That's clear. But what about politically/diplomatically? Especially regarding third-party states.

Also maybe there's some concerns about intel leaks when sending people off or diversion/sabotage when getting new people in.

Within the security establishment, it is assessed that the explosive drone launched on Saturday towards our forces, which caused injuries to several of them, was launched from the underground infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.

This indicates that the terrorists hiding there are prepared to fight and not surrender.
In addition, reports are emerging of ongoing attacks in the area. (Hillel Biton Rosen Ch 14)

They definitely aren't particularly motivated to find a solution but the core issue starts with the horrendous abuse the logistics chain has suffered.
1) European bases
Even the ones that allow some measure of traffic are restricting it so fixing, Transport of wounded persons and ammo will be prioritized. That means the FAT cargo planes you need and which are the most useful to land here are out.
2) Middle eastern bases
Bombed or hostile.
3) Other ships
Slow, need supplies themselves
4) Helicopters
See 2)

In practice the only way would be to mothball a bunch of helicopters on a couple cargo ships starting in America, drive them close, reassemble the helicopters and use that to haul containers back and forth. That's expensive, slow and prone to getting targeted.

Nothing else would have the necessary throughput.

>Since the beginning of 2026, a growing number of mid-ranking IRGC officers and specialized personnel have reportedly fled Iran through neighboring countries such as Turkey and Azerbaijan. Testimonies from defectors, regional media investigations, and independent human rights sources describe an organization increasingly strained by internal distrust, economic pressure, and fear of purges within its own ranks.

>When the current conflict began, the IRGC possessed several important sources of regional leverage. One by one, they have come under increasing pressure. Hamas has been severely weakened. Hezbollah now faces growing constraints under the evolving Lebanon framework. Syria has moved in a very different direction since the fall of Bashar al-Assad. Washington’s decision to remove Syria from its list of state sponsors of terrorism is significant because it supports the country’s reintegration into the region and further reduces Tehran’s ability to use Syria as the strategic corridor it once depended upon

>A similar pattern has emerged across the Gulf. During the early months of the conflict, Iran demonstrated that it could threaten several Gulf states simultaneously. Over time, diplomacy and deterrence narrowed those options. Pakistan strengthened its security cooperation with Saudi Arabia. Qatar evolved from being a target into a key diplomatic channel. Oman consistently supported dialogue while rejecting any attempt to legitimise coercion in Hormuz. These developments made attacks on the Gulf increasingly costly, both politically and militarily. The latest attacks on Saudi and Qatari ships are therefore more likely to strengthen regional resolve than weaken it.

There is nothing I hate more than ignorant Americans that understand nothing about how we're hurting their economy.

The US is trillions of dollars in debt since WWII. Other countries bought that debt that can never be repaid. They get money back from the interest of buying that debt. On top of that countries have their own debt that they circle around and buy back themselves or beg other countries to buy but let's focus on the US. Now, because we got all these countries to buy our debt, we can sanction them. That means freezing the loans they bought so they can't make any money off of it. Japan currently owns the most debt from the US but Iran also owns millions of dollars in US debt. We froze all that money, which is how we sanction them and any other country we want to bully. Now even if Iran wanted to sell those bonds, they can't. If they did though, it would push inflation because the US is the reserve currency (because most countries in the world own our debt). It's a vicious cycle that bleeds into itself but it creates depreciation over time. We can sanction countries but all it does is make people sell their bonds because they don't want their own currency to depreciation too much because that drives up inflation.

Despite all that though, the effects of sanctioning take a lot of time to take effect. Much more time than you think. More time than the US has to fix the petrol dollar. The reason being is that China is currently competing with the US dollar and the fact that gold is now worth more than the US dollar itself. That will only continue to increase. Iran may be facing some inflation right now but they know full well it will subside enough that it won't make a difference. Also they have the option of cutting off more oil production, which hurts Japan, which manufactures our weapons, which needs middle east oil, which can only buy that oil in US dollar, which depreciates the yen and causes them to sell bonds, which kills the US dollar.

>Iranian Official: No Need to Extend Ceasefire with US, It Never Started
>An Iranian official said as the 60-day ceasefire period set in the memorandum of understanding nears its end that "there are no discussions with the United States regarding an extension." The official, who spoke with Reuters, added: "From Iran's perspective, there is no start date for the ceasefire, so there is nothing to extend. The United States violated the agreement and withdrew from it. One of the issues that is being discussed is the US return to the memorandum of understanding and defining timelines for implementing the commitments – something on which no progress has been made."

Actually political economics will tell you the reason for most everything the US does. It's a race against inflation. Israel is filled with religious zealots that don't give a shit about the economy at all though but the "religious zealots" that claim to be in the US are lying. They are also knee deep in the inflation race and because Israel doesn't get in the way and helps to destabilize the region they are useful to a fault. While it is true that Israel has gotten to the point where they can't be contained anymore, these same people that created the problem also do not care. They know that the ride is coming to an end sooner rather than later. So they are making as much money as they can before the US dollar loses its value. It's why you see blatant corruption in oil stock trading so open that everyone can see it. They just don't care.

What's genuinely funny is the description of this video is actually much more realistic about the situation while the title is completely misleading:
>The President of the United States says he intends to declare the Strait of Hormuz a U.S. territory — and Iran answered within hours that a strait can't be seized with a tweet or an executive order. In this live stream we break down what that claim would actually mean under international law, what U.S. forces are already doing in the strait right now — more than 1,000 vessels assisted through, 59 redirected, 3 disabled — and whether Washington has the hardware to back the sentence. All of it 48 hours before the 60-day clock from the June memorandum runs out on Monday.

Yes he's exaggerating how much difference 1000 vessels since February makes (200+ would navigate the strait every day before this) but the descriptions sounds nothing like the DEFINITIVE VICTORY the title is making Trump's retarded tweet out to be. He love monetizing click bait.

His successor, Abdolrahim Musavi, lasted barely a summer before he too was killed -- in the February 28 strike that also killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei himself. >That two parallel chains of command were both operating on acting, undeclared leadership for months is itself a story about how thin Iran's senior officer corps was cut by Israeli and US targeting. The new decrees don't just install new men, they close out a period in which Iran's military hierarchy existed more as a wartime improvisation than as a chain of command with the supreme leader's formal seal on it.

>Qasem Qoraishi, deputy of Iran’s Basij Organization, suggested the Mehr footage was merely the beginning of a new wave of Khamenei footage to reinforce that the supreme leader is well and making active decisions in the government.

>Footage and other documentation of Khamenei actively going out in public on the streets of Tehran, along with attending meetings with his armed forces, will supposedly be released in the future, Qoraishi said Sunday.

>The videos will “once again bring disgrace upon the enemies and detractors of the Iranian people,” he said.

BREAKING: Trump has just made a last-minute unexpected visit to Camp David, aboard the Marine One VH-3D helicopter, per flight tracking data.

This comes as the White House press pool has been silent for over 14 hours and multiple SAM (Special Air Mission) flights took off last night carrying Cabinet members, senior staff, and other officials.

The visit comes just 2 days before the official US-Iran ceasefire expires on Monday, August 17.

That's not entirely true. Oman has the right under international law to cede its territory to other countries. And every country has the right under international law to declare 12 nautical miles of territorial waters off its coast, even if it's an island or exclave. This would therefore be legally sound and more readily recognized than the gulf of america renaming. Purchasing the island of great quoin, for example, would be a viable option.
>>
>>540854583
yep something is gonna happen.
I think the us will just break the ceasefire and do another decapitation strike.

Camp David visits have a 50% chance of preceding actual happenings if I'm remembering correctly

>The satellite image posted by an Iranian news outlet looked real: a devastated US base in Qatar. But it was an AI-generated fake, underscoring the accelerating threat of tech-enabled disinformation during wartime.

>As the US-Israeli war against Iran rages, Tehran Times, a state-aligned English daily, posted on X a "before vs. after" image it claimed showed "completely destroyed" US radar equipment at a base in Qatar.

Still holding the moral high ground, proving that the wect's lies have been nothing but propaganda for the last 50 years. Picrel is from a 1980 Cheech and Chong movie that immediately got laughs because of the existing tropes, just for example.

Somewhere there's a pic from like, 3 or 4 decades ago showing ol' Neti-Pot™ (nickname chosen due to his murderous similarity to Pol Pot) in the US Senate holding up a fucking cartoon graphic of how close Persia was to getting the bomb, and why war was immediately necessary.

Kikes are the scales deliberately blinding American eyes, imo. A huge trick they use is just to hypnotise entire generations with mental garbage so that they can focus on brainwashing the next one.

>More than 1,300 Strava users have publicly logged workouts from U.S. military sites across the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) area, according to an investigation by Sky News cited by Task & Purpose.

>The exposure is particularly concerning because many of these installations have subsequently been targeted by Iran. At Muwaffaq Al Salti Air Base in Jordan, for example, personnel regularly posted runs around the installation. Activity resumed in April and later became concentrated around barracks; the housing area was struck in July, killing three U.S. soldiers.

>The issue isn't new. In 2018, Strava's public heat maps exposed previously undisclosed military locations and details about base layouts. The Pentagon subsequently prohibited personnel from using geolocation features on personal or government devices.

>CENTCOM has since issued additional OPSEC guidance, including restrictions implemented when Operation Epic Fury began. Yet publicly available Strava data shows personnel are still exposing their locations.

>This is particularly notable given Adm. Brad Cooper's warning last month that Iran was using troops' photos, videos and other cellphone-generated information to assess strike effectiveness and help target U.S. personnel.

>Below are screenshots taken from the Strava app today showing activity at Muwaffaq Al Salti Air Base, Jordan and Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia. The blue lines are tracks uploaded to the app by users with the darker color representing higher usage of route.

Toilet is broken at the White House and Trump has to take a massive shit. He doesn't like to use public restrooms and needs a comfy secluded place to feel safe enough to shit, so they flew him to Camp David. Good news, the President has relieved himself of his burden and is in a much better mood.
