Anyone can do their part to make the opposite the case, but what once was a unifying culture was suppressed to the point that I don't think most of the users currently on this site even knew it existed, outside of perhaps, an occasional 4chan screencap for 5+ years ago. There was literally a time that DISCUSSION was actually real, let alone a thing, at all... there was once a time where there was an abundance of effortposting to the extend that a culture grew on top of that. There was once a time where "effortpost" was even a concept, let alone a term even use at all (you don't even see that term anymore and when you do the posts are shockingly small). There was something of a losely connected yet culturally united intelligentsia in this place. Memes used to be continuous of ideological precepts rather than repetitions of a mere cultural response. This place declined in so many ways it's not even funny.I'm not even an oldfag and even from my vantage this place has changed so astronomically.
