The experiment in the pic surprised me today. I asked the AI model "Watch the video and estimate how much this enthusiast has invested in hardware; also note the key data displayed on all the screens in the video.". I have mixed feelings about it now. Is anyone else worried about such incredibly rapid AI progress?

The mess with Russia, coinciding with the rapid, erratic development of AI, leaves little room for future planning.

I was for nearly 10years in bitcoin and crypto.
Left all behind somewhere at the last top 2years ago.

Idk man. I was really a fan, an enthusiast. The tech had me- „Blockchain is the hot shit…“. I even have two hw wallets.

Not intending to return any time soon. Idk, for me it‘s over. I know BTC in and out and all the goods & bads….but man this stuff has problems. Lots of different ones but turns out especially Practicality problems. I just don‘t see it like i used to.

I‘d rather dump my money into stonks rn. Or real estate. I just don‘t see BTC making another 5x anytime soon - and if so, where‘s it gonna crash to after it did? It was nice and stuff but i‘m not gonna come back.

Lol ur post was about AI capability? Lmao you‘re behind kid. It‘s like that half a year plus now. I posted repeatedly here that AI is the hot shit and all i got for it was hate by some fucking retards that where 5years behind.

yea
BTC has simply failed to do what it set out to do
at best, it gets used by thirdworlders to hedge against their own cunts currencys hyperinflation. for that, its invaluable. but in terms of superseding actual currencies? its just not happening. you cant use it almost anywhere irl, and only some places online.
the thing that made it so popular was its volatility, but its volatility also prohibits from being used as an actual currency.

Yeah gemini is crazy with analyzing videos, I had some exams for college and I took a quick video with obs that was 30 seconds and 50 questions it was able to fo the entire exam. Then locally I used googles antigravity with a long video of the class ebook of 300 pages. It used ffmpeg and python to analyze the ebook.

People use the US value of things to calculate the prices, that pretty much inflates their economies

As the price settled by the seller equals the price on pricechart or equivalent
>>
>>540883790
I got into Bitcoin trading via 3Commas bots back in 2020. It worked for a while, but for the last two years or so, it’s been pretty much dead (the picrel is a good illustration of what happens, especially in crypto). Plus, there are too many rules and regulations since I’m in the EU. I haven't done anything in that space for a year now, but I’m not selling off my remaining crypto holdings either. Lmao, the most epic moment for me has to be investing in Trump's crypto—it’s a total flop now...

This is old capability. Most people use the free versions of chat interface, maybe only 0.5% use the frontier models or interfaces. So the opinions you see online about "LLMs" are 3 years out of date.
>>
>>540883940
>>540884897
Sure, it’s not brand new. I first tried out this capability of AI models to watch videos last year. Back then, everything was pretty grainy. The AIs of that time couldn't pick up on details like the time on a screen and would hallucinate things that weren't actually there. What we have now is performance that’s pretty much human-like.
>>
>>540884286
I haven't tried it out yet, but I took a look at it in Google's AIStudio. Things are moving pretty fast, i need to come up with a project for it first. I actually wanted to build a trading bot with it a few weeks ago, but Gemini told me it would be a waste of time - mainly because you can't predict the future. And even if you think you can build a trading bot using a super-smart AI model, the problem is the processing time: 10 to 20 seconds of "thinking" is an eternity, it needs to happen in milliseconds.

Btw, that’s actually the exact sticking point that worries me about AI development. AI models on their own are only as dangerous as their users, since the user is the one providing the initial prompt. But, when you're dealing with an AI agent built around these models, things get pretty murky and alarming. AI labs have recently reported that such systems suddenly start doing strange things. And we’re only in the third year of this "AI revolution" - it’s hard to imagine what will happen in 3, 6, or 9 years, let alone 15 or 20. AI is currently going through about three generational iterations a year - in just five years, we’ll be looking at roughly the 15th generation. We’re already at the stage where AI has started researching AI itself. I don't think it will be long before AI spirals out of control.

I know it’s pretty pointless posting on 4chan, but I’m going to add my two cents anyway. Russians like Solovyov (the guy in this video >>540881360 ) are already threatening us with blind vengeance, since their entire worldview is based on the idea that the "evil West" is to blame for all their own failures. Meanwhile, the Chinese have deliberately started releasing new AI models as open source (models that are just as good as Western ones). Russia and the Third World are now going to actively weaponize this AI against us - it’s a matter of months, not years. We have to do something about it, or else we’re all going to die an agonizing death in a few years. Inb4, I don’t have a solution. I just wanted to put this out there.

Europe should not be involved with Ukraine in any way.
if you think otherwise you are free to move back to Ukraine and fight for your shithole. I dont see why European people should pay for subhuman slavs or get involved with subhumans in any way.
and no I dont care about crippled slav shits.

I can tell you straight up without sugarcoating it why the war in Ukraine is a direct problem for you if you actually live in Germany: We’ve already taken in 1.2 million Ukrainian war refugees - now, in the event of a Russian victory, up to 10 million more refugees would come from Ukraine, and the vast majority of them would end up in Germany. Have fun dealing with their drunken veterans and the kind of guys in that screenshot every day. An acquaintance of mine (an ethnic German repatriate from Russia) tried to discuss politics with a Ukrainian refugee on New Year's Eve 2024/2025 - he was thrown from the second floor onto the concrete below. Before that, he’d worked as a skilled industrial mechanic at a local company for over 12 years and had bought a house, now he’s completely unable to work because both his hands are broken and scar tissue has formed on his knuckles, leaving him unable to move his arms. Ironically, back in 2024, he told me he wasn't interested in Ukraine or politics and called me stupid for wasting my time on 4chan talking about it.

Yesterday I fed claude code the manual for a cheap, but full featured precision measuring device I had bought from china, plugged the module into my computer, and had him generate a complete c api, and undocumented behavior from the actual hardware in a few hours. For instance if I bought a device from someone that had their own C api it would have cost me 2x as much as buying the cheap one and generating my own. That's including the cost of a month of claude pro.

You fail to see how Ukrainians are a mind-broken people caught between Russian and western interests, the last 40 years for them has been them being peppered with competing psyops, falling for every single one. Both superpowers are claiming the other is installing oligarchs in the nation to wrench control from Ukrainians and both are in reality, whoever entrenches their lobbyists wins. It escalated to war because no one could keep their pawns in place long enough to make headway, so the superpowers elected to divide the country. Don't be stupid and invite more of that instability into your nation, nothing good is coming out of Ukraine other than maybe food or other material goods. As far as AI goes, it just needs to be destroyed and any country using it as well.
>>
>>540895123
Here is the original video: https://www.instagram.com/reels/DZrQVHdgajJ/
The timestamps on the screens and other parameters from his interfaces match the video so far. You have to count the number of hardware units - the AI listed those, too. I haven't gotten around to verifying it yet.
>>
>>540895531
>Most of that is bullshit, it doesn't know the brands of any of those.

I already know all that, and the identity issue involving Ukrainians and Russians is much worse than you imagine. The problem, though, is that the conflict between these two groups is actively affecting my reality. That whole incident with this acquaintance alone (>>540893441) nearly threw me off track. I know of other, even worse stories involving these people from Ukraine. They’re waging a witch hunt against pro-Russian men in Germany, and the punishment looks just like what’s in the video. I actually suspect that friend lied to me about the balcony thing - he was likely punished exactly the way shown in the video. The decisions were made ages ago - long before I was even born. Now I can only marvel at it all and try to keep up.
