I’m a student at uni rn and can’t figure out what to do. I was originally planning CS but think it’s a dead end now with AI so I switched to architecture. Been talking to some recent grads and they haven’t found shit. The job market seems fucked.

Even if you do get your degree, outside of astronomical luck, your most likely employer is the university system, which pay peanuts. Its more functional to do that as a minor and major in a relevant engineering. For example:Chemistry could be Chemical Engineering or Petroleum EngineeringPhysics could be Mechanical Engineering or Mining EngineeringMath can be used for Actuarial Science and have an easier point of entry.Some of these are quite accurate though. Pharmacology/Toxicology is shit to get into.
>>540883051unless you're genuinely obsessed with cs and autistic while going to stanford or cmu or somewhere similar avoid cs. go for mining engineering, metallurgy, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering. these are some of the hardest majors that exist so that alone is a good filter for competition. and it's absolutely essential and necessary that you join hobby clubs (making rockets/racecars/anything you can talk about that you took from idea to implementation) and/or a very competitive sport or something similar, this is non negotiable if you actually want a job. if you're not ready to do all of the above don't bother with college. look for fellow autistic white men actually making things and you'll be in good company
