There is a certain type of Christian who eagerly embraces leftist policies, either implicitly or explicitly, because they think they can create the kingdom of God on Earth, and thus enter heaven without having to face the terror of death and judgement. It's not even the leftism that's the problem with these Christians, but their desire to immanentize the eschaton. They think not only can their actions force God to move up his schedule, but that they're to be praised for trying to do so. Elevating themselves above God. The hubris of thinking that they can make this world perfect through human action. You enter into the Kingdom of Heaven through Christ, not through the works of man. Ultimately they are cowards, above all else, believing that their meekness and willingness to give away not only their birthright but that of others will compensate for their sins. They are terrified to face God, and cling to leftism in the hopes of making a pantomime of God's kingdom without having to die and stand before him.

I think all churches turn into shit over time and have to be purged by young men who aren't afraid of being called rude. Situations where a church has a mix of real Christians and fake Christians just make things more complicated. Protestantism is really just a confederate model of Christianity where you can easily leave behind a rotten church establishment and build your bubble of people you trust. That's cool because it's more likely to survive those Biblical end times. Or any bad times.
