The Kremlin has been trying to promote family values since 2020 and even created a "Family Day" to boost birth rates, along with cultural events rejecting feminism and other things. Why doesn't this work? It seems that every country that tries to go the "traditional route" has failed—it didn't work in Hungary or Belarus, for example. Promoting "family" just doesn't seem to work. Tons of people hate to admit it, but the only thing that positively correlates with lowering fertility rates is female education (and subsequent placement into the workforce). Unironically, you cannot place women into mandatory education and expect to produce children in the necessary numbers to maintain your population. Education will convince them that they do not need a man until it is too late and they can no longer have children, as we can see in the west today. They need to be taught in female only schools, if at all, and barred from most forms of employment or at the very least not given any form of preferential hiring in their favor. Only then will they see any reason to seek out a man while they are still fertile, and only if they can stay at home with their children will they see any reason to have them.Nobody will do it though.
