Hector himself shows quite some hubris, his death is also tied to his inability to see the signs from above, despite his brother and others telling him about them i.e he acts like this time they really are rolling the Greeks around for good and he's in control, he's told once to not attack the Greek camp after a sight, then his brother also tells him to not wait outside after Achilles shows up and once again he refuses to yield to good advice. And in fact before his last fight with Achilles he's all conflicted that if he goes inside they are going to give him shit because he's at fault for the disaster that befell the Trojans after Achilles shows up.
