I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around the absolute state of the west right now. The immigration; countries going from 99% to 50% white in less than a century. The degradation of the society and its values; nothing means anything anymore. The hatred of one's ancestors and their accomplishments. What abrasive force absolutely decimated the west culturally? I'm reading through Spengler right now, but even here it's just a fatalistic death life cycle that civilisations go through, he specifically tries to avoid the Eurocentric lens. But this seems like a genuine cancer that sprung from western thought specifically, that no other cultures have ever gone through.

I’m practically a scholar on Spengler so I can tell you you’re reading of his book is wrong. It’s true that the sheer scale and dogmas surrounding immigration are unique to Western civilization, but mass immigration at a mature phase of the civilization’s life cycle is not. All of them save for arguably China were overrun with immigrants, along with a great number of foreign slaves who took all the work. This happens in every civilization. The unique attribute of the West is that it might be the first civilization to not only do nothing to stop but to actually embrace it, increase it, and in so doing commit suicide.
