Are my eyes deceiving me or is Prince going by Frank Landymore now while posing as some jew publisher? I've had so many questions about his "death".
>>
>OH NO. AMAZON BOUGHT 1000 BOOKS AND THEN RIPPED OFF THEIR SPINES TO SCAN THEM FASTER!!!!!

I'm sorry, I thought you could do whatever you want to do with a book once you buy it.

The most interesting thing about AI is that if you start training it with AI-generated content, even if it seems completely rational and intelligible, things quickly start to go awry, and within a few "generations", the AI begins to produce meaningless garbage or low-quality text.
If this happens with the human brain as well, it might explain why, after civilizations reach a certain peak, their artistic output seems to start to decline. Artists end up merely creating variations on works by other artists, with no further connection to real-world sources of inspiration.

Does it “destroy” books the same way that it “destroys” water?
>>
>>541013293
Its all fake outrage, I have yet to see an example of one of these "rare" books, google has been digitizing books for 20 years
>>
Which do you prefer, AI trained on Reddit or trained on books? Fuck AI is not an answer.
>>
>>541013389
When you buy a book, and make a copy of it, you now have two copies which infringes on copyright law. They destroy the original copy so they are legally in the clear.
>>
>>541012028
AI is such a scam. So what does it all boil down to? Hoarding all the worlds data in massive data centers so AI can simply brute force either an image or text by clumsily sifting through a near infinite data set, using intense processing power to create some sort of averaged image or keyword pile of text and draining entire rivers for coolant? While still delivering an in accurate and not fully coherent answer or image. What a scam, this is not the future and this is not an impressive technology.

I think the only "real" use is in programming, IT applications, and so on. Corporations currently view AI as a way to make their employees more efficient and faster, and they're even requiring them to use a certain number of tokens every week to prove that they're doing their best to use AI as a work optimizer.
Apparently, AIs like "Codex" or "Claude" are quite capable in programming and can be a huge help in practically every day-to-day situation for people in this field. According to the programmers I spoke with, these tools are useful and allow them to be more productive.

Oh, noes, not the el-bookerinos! Somebody think of all the poor, rare books written in languages nobody will understand in 500 to 1000 years, on paper that will not survive 100 to 300 years, being read by the light of LED bulbs that won't have electricity to power them in 100 - 200 years! Dear god, what will we do?!

But if I had to pick then I'd choose the former because AI taught on reddit garbage is exactly what AIfags deserve.

>>
>>541012028
If the books are so rare and important. Why aren't they in a private collection or in some kind of book museum?
Oh yeah, it's because nobody gave a shit before AI started destroying them

anyone been noticing how any thread with even the mildest scrutiny, criticism, or even mere questions about

They genuinely want to monopolize access to knowledge. They are far from achieving it ofc but thats what they begun to do.
>>
>>541012028
Did they ever tell us what these rare books were? Or just "rare" books?
>>
Its has began. I hate living in this era.
>>
>>541012278
The same people who made hours of propaganda over nazis burning books are the same ones going silent over big tech destroying books whose contents are unkown and its unkown if we still have digital available to the public.
Big tech is destroying cultural heritage for short term profits, on the other hand its waste, at this point in time you dont increase intelligence by throwing more text into a training algorithm.
>>
>>541013389
the book is actually destroyed yes, they claim is for copyright, no joke, ancient rare books who've past their copyright by centuries, if not more, are destroyed because "scanning" makes it tantamount to stealing, and not because they want to have exclusive access to the information..
>>
>>541015795
At least chinks and jeets won't take my country you weak faggot lmao
>>
>>541016215
no, the only benefit to destroying them, is exclusive access to the information, nothing else makes sense. You don't need to destroy them if its training data, you can simply hang onto the books, they possess a monetary value of untold sums, so it is especially absurd from profit motive. This is demonic, and simply destruction to exclusively hoard all the information.
>>
>>541016431
It's because of a legal ruling against Google Books. They're only allowed to scan books if they destroy the original, otherwise it's illegal duplication.
>>
>>541016218
>ancient rare books who've past their copyright by centuries
Can you name one of these books?
Is any of this actually happening?
>>
>>541012028

>>
>>541017248
Just because it isn't valuable doesn't mean it's okay to destroy it either
