Otherwise you'll be on your knees eating out of the governor's palm (more like the duke's at that point) just to keep the street lights on in your neighborhood. That's why Republicans in my "The Free State of Florida" want them gone so badly, because there's still some freedom they haven't snuffed out yet with the local governments.
