Shit bros trump almost nuked my Etsy shop with these new 50 percent tariffs coming into effect tomorrow for all items listed in the section 338 Tariffs. Good thing my HTS code is 3925.90.00.00 builders' ware of plastics was excluded. 95 percent of my customers are US citizens... Gottttt dayummm. All the other small Canadian businesses are devastated. Not even CUSMA (which exempts Canadian made products from tariffs) will protect them. Apparently it has to do with Trump trying to destroy Doug Ford's dairy cartel which doesn't allow American dairy products to be sold in Canada. They also bar wine from the US as well which trump correctly thinks is unfair. I want to purchase American dairy and wine for cheap I don't give a fuck about small Canadian big agri farmers.. not at all. But now trump went scorch earth on our asses and just tariffed almost everything. Like wtf is up with that.
