When the mormon missionaries come to your house and proselytize their book of mormon, they eventually point to moroni 10:4 as the means to gain a testimony of the book of mormon being true and Joseph Smith being a prophet. But the thing is, it asks you to pray to God that the things are NOT true and Jesus Christ will reveal the truth of it NOT being true, to you. Just look for yourself...Moroni 10:4>And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.So many otherwise good people are praying to God asking if the book of mormon is not true and they are receiving testimony that it is true, that it is not true. Amazing.

I really don't like their employment of whores, it just makes me depressed. Like they really are worldly. I don't hate the idea of modern prophets and they have a good track record against cartels but mormons just seem like a solid 80 IQ religion to me. I suppose no religion is ever going to be clever. That's kinda what the bible is all about. Idk i feel like mormons just don't get it on an intrinsic level. Like they want to apply modern sensibilities to bronze age wisdom but cannot perceive either beyond the level of a 12 year old.

>>541025230They're nice, even when they're resigned to the fact that you will never convert. Had one family as a neighbor for 5 years while a poor ass college student. Brought me extra food at least 3 times a week. The only weird thing was the parents being a bit overly ambitious about getting me to spend time with their grown live-at-home daughter. And before you all start assuming, she's like 4/10 on a good day, would not even after 3 beers. And there's no beer with mormons. She was like 3 years older than me, barely finished highschool and seemed a bit... slow? Not downy but always showing up with a book or magazine article she just read (not allowed on internet at home) and asking me to explain what it means, which is what I did. A lot. But hey, free food. Went back home after, didn't really keep in contact due to their whole no internet thing.
