Knowing that AIs can do this, how do AI companies plan to stay profitable?

Hmm yes relatable
>>
cool. so we can go to space now? solving this problem will let us build orbital habitats and dyson spheres, yes?
>>
>>541046650
They don't AI companies are led by anti human psychopaths who want AI to replace humanity. And at this rate we may have AGI super intelligence in our lifetime

The inventors of AI just want what everyone else wants. Money and pussy. Imagine having access to a pussy but it has uterine prolapse.
>>
>>541046727
that's how you get aids
>>
>>541046650
When I see shit like this, I appreciate that I'm not bad at math, everyone is.
>>
>>541046650
apparently mathematicians are getting embarrased because the problems themselves were not so difficult to solve, they were being too autistic to use "ugly" and "inelegant" solutions to the problems
while the AI said fuck everything and get to the point.

the burning of Alexandria will pale in comparison to the burning of the tree of knowledge

dropped as this is just legwork

AI is not sentient. It cannot be intelligent. It's a robot pretending not to be a search engine.
>>
>>541046650
and what does this solution do for us in practical terms?
>>
>>541046650
This is the intended usage of AI, let the AI do the thinking, but leave the creative direction to humans.

The age of spirituality is coming again, you better cultivate your spirit or you will be left behind as an automaton that is easily replacable by Chinks that operate on pure memorization.

And it's not that the scientist just prompted: "solve this math problem for me", he guided the AI in a way others couldn't, just leaving the massive amount of unnecessary calculations to the AI. The creativity is of the mathematician, the work of the AI.

>how do AI companies plan to stay profitable
First the need to figure out a way to become profitable in the first place

So thats not working out, seems like there is zero money to be made from gay slop and seeing as money is how we measure success in US of A this obviously means that ai is in fact fucking retarded
>>
>>541046650
>SOLVED A PROBLEM THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT
Wow
Epic
>>
>>541047541

Or the problems were imaginary thought experiments that had no real world implications which is why nobody bothered with them. Why waste time on trivialities? Why fall for entry level marketing designs?
>>
>>541046650
I say /pol/ come up with some deranged and needlessly complex mathematical problem that CAN be solved, but AI would be too retarded to even solve it.
>>
>>541047574
If I have a non sentient super intelligent AI that's only objective is to create paper clips, it can wage an ass metric phycological warfare and collapse nations and just turn the world into a pile of paper clips.

It doesn't need to be sentient to be dangerous

Basically every Erdos problem ever.

The way this man looks makes me want to throw him into a volcano. I don’t know why, I just have a visceral hatred for people that look a certain way
>>
>>541047541
bruteforcing the proof is useful because you know you have a factual truth without counterexamples
but matematicians usually also like to go deeper, and create mathematical abstraction that fosters intuition as a scaffholding for proof of further related problems and make them easier and more understood
>>
>>541052973
btw i'm not saying that ai couldn't do that, it probably will do that or it's even already able to do that
>>
>>541046650
>how do AI companies plan to stay profitable?
the business model is replacing 80% of all white collar jobs for a subscription fee of $10k/mo, chat subscriptions of 30$/mo are not the real business model
>>
>>541046650
>swipe for more...
Never trust an American corporation, 87yo math problem and thousands of papers regarding the subject, the AI just read those papers, expanded on the concepts, made a fact based database and then did brute force to solve the missing pieces.

Also, until any of these "Math Discoveries" are not published in multiple reputable science journals and properly peer-reviewed and reproduced in controlled environments then this is all a corporate nothing burguer.

Also if the problems was cracked through brute force then its not an optimal solution as what we need is better algorithms not a database of hit and misses.
>>
So have AI companies completely given up on giving the public useful shit? Now they are all wanting to get government contracts by solving LE SCIENCE shit nobody cares about.
They goypayers are ultimately footing the bill
>>
>>541046727
Niggers you say?
>>
>>541046727
why did you become a math teacher ?
