I took History of Chicago with https://hist.uic.edu/profiles/todd-breland-elizabeth/ and the entire class was rewriting history to be about how all white people do is steal from minorities while blaming minorities for white crime. It was completely fucking insane. Half of it wasn't even about Chicago but about shit like Japanese internment camps (she denied that the same was done to German Americans during WW1 even though I have first hand accounts of it from my great grandmother). She denied any mistreatment of the Irish and claimed that there was no such thing as indentured servitude of white people.We had to read shit like accounts of Chicago PD detectives going undercover in gay brothels in black neighborhoods to break up sodomy rings and then write essays about how the detectives were gay and fetishized black people. Literally anything and everything we read in that class was then reinterpreted by her or her TAs to have a hyper leftists race communist meaning.For all of our research papers we were heavily pushed and instructed to not use anything written before 2000 because its all "racist lies".They don't understand history because it's been rewritten.
